I am an Associate Teaching Professor in the Undergraduate Biology Program and a Research Associate in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, as well as the Biodiversity Institute at the University of Kansas. Originally from Colombia, I have been studying bees since my freshman year of college. My research focuses on bee phylogeny and evolution, documenting patterns of diversity, and exploring how bees respond to environmental stressors.
